POSITION:    PURCHASING MANAGER – CORPORATE OFFICE

Bio Huma Netics, Inc. (BHN) is seeking a Purchasing Manager to join our Accounting & Finance Department at our corporate office. The ideal candidate will be someone who is a skilled negotiator with previous experience in the agriculture chemical manufacturing industry and who can analyze our current buying systems and create the best methods for day-to-day purchasing operations. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for establishing purchasing projections based on corporate inventory needs and sales projections for the coming year, and overseeing purchasing of raw materials, supplies, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, lead and execute strategies for sourcing and purchasing of raw material inventory, lab materials and equipment. Minimum two sources.
  2. Mine and analyze data within the inventory system to maximize efficiency of inventory levels.
  3. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers based on several factors including quality, price, and availability.
  4. Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency
  5. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
  6. Negotiate and manage service contracts.
  7. Create and track all purchase orders.
  8. Keep raw material items cost current with vendor pricing in the system.
  9. Collaborate with warehouse management and sales to develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and then maintaining those levels throughout the year.
  10. Provide operational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity
  11. Adhere to, promote and support BHN’s Quality Management System.
  12. Any duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications:

  • **Crucial Qualification**: Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience in agriculture and/or chemical procurement or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in English.
  • Proficient in Spanish, a plus
  • Experience sourcing material through rail, a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite, a plus
